Protesters gather in Istanbul, Turkey, to mark International Women's Day as the country comes to grips with the latest case of a violent attack against a woman. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey will establish a parliamentary committee to tackle violence against women after a high-profile incident outraged the country at the weekend. The latest case of violence to grab national attention was a video on social media purportedly showing a man beating his ex-wife in front of their five-year-old child on a street in the Black Sea province of Samsun.
