Monrovia, Oct 10 (EPA).- Liberia's opposition leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Alexander B. Cummings, held a press conference Sunday at his party's headquarters after the collaborating Political Parties (CPP) accused him of altering the framework document under his chairmanship. Dakar (Senegal), March 8 (EFE) .- (CAMERA: Aliou Mbaye) Senegal's main opposition leader, Ousmane Sonko, was released under parole after being arrested Wednesday, which unleashed a wave of violent protests and looting throughout the country.
Clashes break out between supporters of Senegalese opposition figure Ousmane Sonko and security forces as Sonko made his way to a court for a hearing on charges of rape against him. Sonko's journey through Dakar under heavy police surveillance finished with tear gas being fired to disperse groups of excited supporters who gathered along his path. IMAGES
