Members of Japan's elderly community receive their Covid-19 shots as a new mass vaccination center opens in Tokyo in an effort to accelerate the country's vaccination rollout amid a fourth wave of infections. The centers, run by the Self-Defense Forces, will operate for three months from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, including weekends and national holidays. They will use the Moderna vaccine developed by the United States, which was approved by the government on Friday. Japan hopes the mass venues, aiming to inoculate up to 10,000 people a day in Tokyo. Tegucigalpa, May 22 (EFE/EPA).- Honduras received the first batch of AstraZeneca vaccines on Saturday. According to the Government of Honduras, 86,000 doses landed Saturday, while 81,000 are expected to arrive on Sunday and 36,000 on Monday, for a total of 204,000 from the first batch from the pharmaceutical company.
