UN troops patrol in Central African capital as election approaches

UN peacekeepers patrol in Bangui, capital of the Central African Republic, where presidential and legislative elections are due to be held this weekend. The country has long been plagued by insecurity and it is estimated that armed groups control some two thirds of the national territory. IMAGES
