Another field hospital opens for Covid-19 patients in Thailand

Pathum Thani, Jan 11 (EFE/EPA).- Another coronavirus field hospital in Thailand began taking patients Monday to help deal with the increasing number of COVID-19 hospitalizations in the country.The Thammasat University Field Hospital, set up for Covid-19 patients in the area of eight neighboring provinces, is open for service. The hospital has 308 beds, which can be added up to 400, for patients who have mild symptoms of the infectious disease.A new wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has hit the country with hundreds of local cases reported daily in 28 so-called 'red zones' provinces, including Bangkok.
