Armenia: Thousands gather at opposition rally calling for nationwide strike

Thousands of people gather in Republic Square, the central town square in Yerevan, during a protest organised by the 'Homeland salvation' movement, which includes 17 opposition parties. Armenia's opposition, which for weeks has demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, has called for a nationwide strike to begin from 12:00 local time on Tuesday, December 22.
