In an interview filmed by NATO for AFPTV, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says that Russian forces are not capable of making "big breakthroughs" on the battlefield in Ukraine. "We don't have any other indications or reason to believe that Russia has the capabilities, the strength to make big breakthroughs," Stoltenberg says in an interview. SOUNDBITE
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg calls for China to face consequences if it keeps supporting Russia, accusing Beijing of worsening the Ukraine war while seeking better relations with the West. NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says conditions set out by Russian President Vladimir Putin for initiating Ukraine peace talks are "not a proposal made in good faith". Stoltenberg's comment comes during a meeting of NATO defence ministers in Brussels and follows Moscow's proposal that Kyiv pull its troops out of regions claimed by Russia and cease efforts to join NATO in return for peace talks. NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says it is "not too late" for Ukraine to win the war, promising President Volodymyr Zelensky that more support is on the way to Kyiv as Russian forces advance. "Ukraine has been outgunned for months, forced to ration its ammunition... But it's not too late for Ukraine to prevail," the NATO secretary general says at a press conference with Zelensky. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says Ukraine has an "urgent, critical need for more air defence", at a G7 foreign ministers meeting on Capri. Ukraine has struggled on the battlefield for months, outgunned and outnumbered by Russian forces amid a shortage of Western military aid. SOUNDBITE
