The United States warns Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo at the UN that they "must walk back from the brink of war" as tensions between the neighbors ratchet up. A four-month-old elk rescued from a flood now lives with his rescuers in their home in Voronezh Oblast. Olesya Kostyanaya found elk, called Fantik and took it home. The animal seemed to be very weak but Olesya managed to nurse it back to health. Now Fantik is a part of the family and Olesya calls him her ‘third son’. However, in a few weeks, Fantik is due to eave his new family to live in a nature reserve nearby.
Medics are working to stop the spread of cholera in the war-torn Yemeni capital, Sanaa, where a small outbreak has been reported among families who fled the fighting and are camping outside the city. Mana Rabiee reports.
