S.Africa revises economic forecast to 4.8 percent growth: minister

South Africa’s finance minister forecasts the economy will grow by 4.8 percent, a revision to the 5.1 percent growth previously forecast. While presenting the country's 2022 budget to parliament, minister Enoch Godongwana says "Commodity prices... also, violent unrest in July; restrictions imposed to manage the third wave of Covid-19 further eroded the gains made in the first half of the year."
