Coronavirus numbers have been on the rise in Belgium, with infections rising dramatically in the past week by 65%.
More than 1,000 employees of a meat processing plant have tested positive for COVID-19. the plant has been temporarily closed and employees are under quarantine.
Authorities say the “R” factor, which measures the average number of people that an infected person contaminates, is now close to the limit of what is manageable.
