A masked man armed with a sword and other weapons went on a stabbing spree at a school in the industrial city of Trollhattan in western Sweden on Thursday. Two people are dead along with the attacker.
Swedish police say a masked man who killed two people and injured two others with "knife-like weapons" at a school in western Sweden, may have been motivated by far-right sympathies. The man was shot dead by police, but the investigation into his motives is ongoing. Diane Hodges reports.
Images show emergency service vehicles and police behind cordons on Laing Close in Hainault in east London, UK, following the arrest of a sword-wielding man who attacked and injured several people around 7am (0600 GMT), according to the Metropolitan Police. Parents wait to collect their children from a school in the French town of Souffelweyersheim, in the east of France, after an assailant wounded two girls aged six and 11 in a knife attack near the premises.
