European Commission vice-president Valdis Dombrovskis announces details of an 18-billion-euro ($18-billion) economic support package to get Ukraine through 2023, which it hopes will be approved by EU member states. SOUNDBITE
Germany announces 1.3 billion euros more in military gear for Ukraine in its fight against Russia, including four further IRIS T-SLM air defence systems as well as artillery ammunition. The package was unveiled by German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius after talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov in Kyiv. SOUNDBITE
Brussels asks EU member states to provide 50 billion euros ($55 billion) more to support Ukraine over the next four years, as part of a boost to the bloc's budget. SOUNDBITE
At a press conference in Matignon, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announces three new devices to contain energy prices for businesses and communities, for a total effort increased to "12 billion euros". SOUNDBITE
European Commission President, Ursula Von der Leyen, says the EU plans to send 1.5 billion euros of aid to Ukraine per month, as part of a wider global monthly support package worth three to four billion. This, explains Von der Leyen, will be "financed by the European Union, by our American friends and by the financial institutions". SOUNDBITE
