'Civilians are a real problem': Ukrainian soldiers in Donbas urge to evacuate

In the Donbas, many civilians have decided to stay despite the Russian onslaught. According to the Ukrainian commander Youri Bereza, their presence complicates the fighting for the Ukrainian soldiers.

  • Analysis: Ukrainian soldiers evacuate from Azovstal steel plant

    Ukrainian authorities were seeking to extract defenders of the Azovstal steelworks in Mariupol on Tuesday (May 17), as Russia said hundreds of soldiers who left in an earlier operation had surrendered.
