The new Kia Sportage GT Interior Design

Description

A number of new technologies optimize the precision and control of the chassis in a wide variety of weather and road conditions. The standard electronic damper control (Electronic Control Suspension, ECS) in the GT-line version increases comfort and safety thanks to the continuous damping control. The system reacts to body movements and steering inputs and changes the damping behavior at lightning speed in order to counteract the vehicle's diving, pitching and rolling movements when cornering. It also adjusts the damping force in the case of obstacles in order to cope with them as comfortably as possible and to reduce the influence of post-vibrations on the wheels.A premiere for the Sportage is the “All-Terrain-Mode”, which will be available for the plug-in hybrid version with all-wheel drive. The system offers intelligent support when driving off-road or on snow by automatically optimizing the vehicle settings depending on the selected mode and thus helping the SUV to achieve maximum traction on muddy, sandy or snowy surfaces.

  • The new Kia Sportage Interior Design in Lunar Silver

"The original styling of the fourth generation of the Sportage was directed by Kia's European design center in Frankfurt, Germany, with input from the company's design centers in Namyang, Korea, and Irvine, California. By 2018, the three centers have modernized the image of the Sportage, which presents a series of updates on its sporty exterior image. The changes also affect the GT Line versions, equipped with several updates that differentiate them from the other finishing versions. The front bumper has a new image, with a different housing for the fog lights and inserts from those headlights to the lower air intake, with a glossy black or chrome finish. The Sportage will be offered with an evolved version of the ""tiger-nose"" grille, with a matte or shiny black frame. New LED-type light clusters with four-point LED daytime running lights and redesigned fog lamps will provide maximum visibility, enhance the light signature of this SUV and give it a more modern look."

  • The new Kia Sportage in Lunar Silver Driving Video

"The renewed Kia Sportage of 2018 presents a series of improvements that consolidate it as the most emblematic SUV of the brand and the best-selling model in Europe. The new Sportage combines an updated exterior and interior design with new safety and connectivity technologies, as well as new propulsion systems that meet future emissions regulations. The update also affects the GT Line versions. The advanced EcoDynamics + propulsion system of the Sportage, a 48V light hybrid diesel, is the first to be launched within the brand's global electrification strategy. Kia is the first manufacturer that offers, within its range, hybrid vehicles, plug-in hybrids, electric with battery and light hybrid 48V technology. Until 2025, Kia will launch 16 vehicles with advanced propulsion systems, including five new hybrids, five plug-in hybrids, five battery-powered electric vehicles and, by 2020, a new electric fuel cell. Kia has sold more than 131,000 Sportage units to European customers in 2017, representing a quarter of the brand's total sales in this market. During 2017, Kia has sold a Sportage in the world every 69 seconds, which implies that it is the best-selling model of the brand worldwide. In March 2018, the Sportage 5 million unit was manufactured in the three months after the 25th anniversary of the launch in 1993. The Sportage is manufactured for Europe at the Kia plant in Žilina, Slovakia."
