Polish volunteers are ready to welcome Ukrainian refugees in Przemysl train station. Six in every 10 Ukrainian refugees have crossed the Polish border, according to UNHCR's latest figures, and more than 10 million people are now thought to have fled their homes, including the millions of internally displaced people. As Poland unilaterally extends its ban on Ukrainian grain imports, trains full of Ukrainian grain in transit and covered with tarpaulins are parked at the border between the two countries at Dorohusk station. Yesterday, the leader of the Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said that the implicit agreement between Warsaw and Kiev to defend Ukraine did not include "sacrificing Polish agriculture". With financial support from the NGO World Central Kitchen, Polish restaurateurs are cooking and serving free hot meals to Ukrainian refugees who are arriving in Poland to escape the war.
