Volvo Cars is introducing a range of updates to its entire car line-up, the most prominent of which is an exterior refresh of its fully electric XC40 Recharge. The company also unveils a single electric motor variant of the pure electric C40 Recharge.The new C40 and XC40 variants, along with all other new Volvo Cars’ models, will be available through an updated offer concept, designed to make the online ordering process of Volvo cars easier and more convenient. Volvo customers will now be able to choose between different equipment levels and select the options that best suit their personal needs. The new offer structure reflects Volvo Cars’ ambitions to increase price transparency, as well as reduce complexity in its model offering by focusing on attractive pre-selected variants.
The showstopping all-new Hyundai 2023 IONIQ 6, inspired by Hyundai’s Prophecy EV concept, makes its North American Debut at AutoMobility Los Angeles. The four-door electrified streamliner with a targeted estimated driving range of 340 miles is equipped with relevant technology and best-in-class ultra-fast charging that can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. IONIQ 6 is the second Hyundai model to ride on Hyundai’s exclusive Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) that allows for dual motors, more interior space, and optimized performance. IONIQ 6 is part of Hyundai Motor Company’s plan to introduce 17 BEV models and sell more than 1.8 million BEV units worldwide by 2030. IONIQ 6 goes on sale spring 2023. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date.Using this approach is why IONIQ 6’s design is different from IONIQ 5’s, but there are still common threads connecting the models: Living Space, Parametric Pixels and Sustainability. The Living Space is built on E-GMP’s long wheelbase, not only providing unparalleled passenger and cargo room, but also optimizing driving dynamics. The Parametric Pixel is IONIQ’s key differentiator just like the radiator grille was for many brands in the internal combustion engine era. Sustainability is seen in the materials (interior and exterior), establishing a unique position as an unrivaled sustainable volume brand.
