European Parliament adopts motion urging EU treaty rewrite

The European Parliament adopts a motion calling for the EU to rewrite its underpinning treaties, as requested by a group of European citizens who took part in a major public consultation. Roberta Metsola, the parliament's president, takes those in favour, against and abstaining by a show of hands, and announces the motion to have passed. SOUNDBITE
