If NATO does not seize its historic opportunity to stop Vladimir Putin in his tracks, it will face war on its own territory, says long-time Kremlin opponent Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
Amnesty International said on Friday (May 6) there was compelling evidence that Russian troops had committed war crimes, including extrajudicial executions of civilians, when they occupied an area outside Ukraine's capital in February and March.
Three weeks ago at dawn, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared the start of a "special military operation" in Ukraine. Since then, Ukrainians forces have fought back against what is in fact a full-scale invasion. Some 3 million people have already fled the country. The exclave used to be part of Germany called Köningsburg but was ceded to the Soviets after World War II.
Mikhail Khodorkovsky told Euronews the Ukraine war will end on the battlefield because "there is no alternative."
