Thai democracy activists vow to return to the streets after police fired water cannon and tear gas on demonstrators in the most violent clashes seen since the protest movement erupted in July.
Police use tear gas and water cannon to disperse protesters as violence again breaks out in the streets of Chile's capital, Santiago. Fueled by outrage at president Sebastian Pinera and the Chilean elite that controls most of the country's wealth, the South American nation has seen since October its worst social unrest since the transition to democracy in 1990.
