Germany launches €9 all-access public transport ticket

Description

The new German government is making most public transport across the country available until the end of August for a monthly fee of only €9. The move aims to offset inflation and reduce carbon emissions. Our Berlin correspondents Anne Mailliet and Nick Spicer report.   • German train strike disrupts services at Berlin station

    With German train drivers on strike, services across the capital Berlin remain disrupted and intermittent, with cancellations and reduced services seen across both local and regional train journeys. Disruption is expected across the country as a result of the train drivers' union's latest salvo in an escalating dispute over working conditions.
