Stunned locals captured an enormous glowing ball flying through the night sky near the town of Salekhard in northern Siberia on Saturday. Residents from the Yamalo-Nenets region thought they could be witnessing an alien craft or UFO as the sphere changed colours in the sky. However, The mysterious object was soon revealed to be the traces of four Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missiles launched by the Russian military from Plesetsk Cosmodrome during military exercises.
Dash-cam footage from Sayanogorsk, in the Republic of Khakassiya, captured a meteor crossing the sky on Tuesday. The video shows a bright flash and then a fireball speeding over the town, lighting the whole area up like a bulb. The meteor is believed to have been completely destroyed during the fall. However, local authorities say fragments of the meteor could be found in the nearby Babik Valley.
