Dozens of people disembark from a UK Border Force patrol vessel in the port of Dover on November 30 2022. The British government says 426 migrants were detected crossing the English Channel in small boats that day. More than 40,000 migrants have crossed the Channel to Britain so far this year according to the UK government, whilst Britain and France have just signed a new deal in November - increasing what the French border controls are paid in order to prevent these crossings. More than 100,000 migrants have crossed the Channel on small boats from France to southeast England since Britain began publicly recording the arrivals in 2018, official figures revealed on August 11. Welcome to the Good Hotel, a massive floating hotel moored out on the docks of Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands. Crews working on the Amsterdam docks are preparing the 144-room, 17.6 million pound hotel for the long and unprecedented journey across the channel to the capital of the United Kingdom, where it will arrive to serve its guests at London's Royal Docks. The Porsche Taycan has secured a new Guinness World Record after completing an extreme, 2,783-kilometre journey that saw it go from the lowest natural point in China to the top of one of the world’s highest national highways.
