Protests have rocked Iran since 22-year-old Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini died on September 16 after her arrest by the morality police in Tehran for allegedly failing to observe the Islamic republic's strict dress code for women. Protests have taken place in cities across the world in solidarity with Iranians outraged at the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini who died after being arrested.
Iran sees its greatest unrest in years, as anger spreads over the death of a 22-year-old woman in police custody.
Six months ago this week, Mahsa Amini was arrested for allegedly flouting Iran's strict dress code for women. Within days she was dead, sparking the country's biggest protests in years. FRANCE 24's Chief Foreign Editor Rob Parsons tells us more.
The art performance coincided with news that Iranian authorities have reportedly disbanded their morality police after months of protests.
