The Russian Defence ministry releases footage of two of its Tu-22M3 long-range bombers, saying they are flying over Belarus as part of longstanding efforts at military integration. The latest Ratnik combat suit for soldiers was put through its paces on Tuesday, as a stunt performer walked through fire and explosions at the TSNIITOCHMASH test range in Podolsk. The suit, which is a joint development between Rostec Corporation and the TSNIITOCHMASH Research Institute, is expected to go into service in 2020. Stuntwoman Vikoria Kolesnikova spoke about her experience wearing the new suit.
Russian arms manufacturer Lobaev demonstrated its record-breaking ultra long-range SVLK-14 'Sumrak' bolt action sniper rifle, in the Russian town of Tarussa. Earlier in October, Russian marksman Andrei Ryabinski reportedly set a new world record after hitting a 1-metre square target placed at 13,812 feet away, or 2.6 miles with the Sumrak, which means 'Twilight' in Russian.

Originally, a wooden prototype of the kit was presented at the Interpolitex-2016 exhibition which took place in Moscow in October 2016 and got the attention of military and security services buyers. The interest encouraged Nikolayev to build the metal version he tested at the firing range and even inspired him to look for other ways to improve the design.
