Football fans from all over the world have travelled to Russia to support their teams in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. For many of them, it was their first time in the country and they were pleasantly surprised by Russia, its people and the welcome they received. The FIFA Confederations Cup is taking place in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi from June 17 to July 2, attracting some of the best national teams from all continents as well as football fans from all over the world.
Former German captain Philipp Lahm spoke about the scandal surrounding the German Football Association which forced the resignation of its chief Wolfgang Niersbach Monday. The case is related to alleged bribes for the bid of Germany to the 2006 World Cup.
