A major 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit southeastern Turkey on Monday, the US Geological Survey said, levelling buildings across several cities and causing damage in neighbouring Syria. Several people have been killed and hundreds more injured after a massive earthquake struck southern Taiwan, toppling at least one high-rise residential building, early Saturday morning, according to a BBC report.
Buenos Aires, Jan 19 (EFE).- The magnitude-6.4 earthquake that struck the western Argentine province of San Juan and was felt across at least four other provinces, so far has delivered more than 50 aftershocks although no deaths or serious injuries have been reported, according to authorities.
