US politicians wasted no time turning the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank into a blame game. Euronews has fact-checked each side's accusations.
After a weekend of negotiations, HSBC has agreed to acquire the UK subsidiary of Silicon Valley Bank for one pound (€1.13).
The banking union was first pitched in 2012, at the height of the eurozone crisis, but the project remains incomplete to this day.
