Taking its inspiration from the Honda CLs of the '60s and '70s, the CL500 combines retro charm with the latest technology and equipment, creating a whole new type of street naked within the Honda range. It's designed to fit in with the motorcycle lifestyle, with plenty of ability to tackle daily traffic, a long weekend ride, or even a little off-roading.The CL500 uses Honda's popular and energetic 471cc parallel twin engine, compatible with the A2, delivering 35kW of power and 43.3Nm of torque. Unique ECU settings and a short final drive provide precise, responsive acceleration from a standstill and throughout the rev range, especially in the low and mid range.The horizontal line of its design extends from the characteristic round headlight, with four LED bulbs, through the cleanly rounded tank, to the high-positioned exhaust muffler with its classic perforated stainless steel heat shield. Details like the side tank guards, thickly padded seat with Honda logo, small circular LED turn signals, tall handlebars and rubber fork gaiters come together to create a look that has a different kind of cool charm than usual. from any other Honda model.The multi-tubular steel frame is both a style statement and the basis for easy handling. Long-travel suspension consists of a 41mm telescopic fork and an adjustable rear shock, while the wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear) mount offroad-looking tires.
