Indian Sikhs pray for Turkish and Syrian earthquake victims

Sikhs gather at the Golden Temple in northern India’s Amritsar to pray for those affected by the recent earthquake in Turkey. The magnitude 7.8 quake hit on Monday, 6 February 2022, close to the Syrian border. The earthquake and subsequent aftershocks killed more than 11,200 people. A Sikh priest along with members and employees of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) prayed at the Teja Singh Samundri Hall at the Golden Temple complex - one of the holiest sites in Sikhism.
