From bedbugs to wild boars, this week in French Connections we explore the many species that are considered a nuisance to French people. There's even a term for these species: "les nuisibles". But not everyone agrees on which wild animals, birds and pests should be on the government's list of harmful species. We take a closer look.
The small Moroccan village of Tnirte, close to the epicenter, lost some 60 of its residents. In the rural area, many villagers go to bed early, so when the earthquake struck late Friday they were surprised in their sleep. France's National Assembly will see two proposed laws tabled in the coming days, each requesting that the right to abortion be enshrined in the Constitution. Although the vast majority of French people support abortion rights, there is a small but vocal group of activists fighting against it.
