French President Emmanuel Macron welcomes Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Elysee Palace in Paris for a working dinner and to discuss "the urgent military and humanitarian needs of Ukraine", according to the French Presidency. The two heads of state exchanged a handshake, a brief embrace and a few words in the courtyard of the presidential palace, to the sound of the Republican Guard, before entering the building. IMAGES
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrives in Helsinki on a surprise visit to Finland to participate in a summit gathering the leaders of the five Nordic nations. Zelensky is welcomed by his Finnish counterpart Sauli Niinisto, whose country became NATO's newest member in April, with the two leaders set to discuss "Ukraine's defence struggle" in the face of Russia's invasion.
