Peru sends police to Ecuador border after state of emergency declared

Peruvian police officers in the capital Lima board a plane bound for the northern border with Ecuador, after Peru put the border under a state of emergency following the security crisis that erupted in the neighboring country. Ecuador's president has given orders to "neutralize" criminal gangs after gunmen stormed and opened fire in a TV studio, as bandits threatened random executions on a second day of terror in the country.
