Old-timers usually scoff at the antics of the younger generation in their quest for coolness, but one super hip senior citizen from Belarus is totally reversing that stereotype. This sunglasses wearing hipster grandpa is 82-year-old marathon runner Andrei Korolenko, and, with his well-groomed beard and non-chalant attitude, he may be the oldest and smoothest male model in the history of Belarus, and maybe even in the world. Andrei started running at the age of 66, but only got discovered by some modeling agencies recently after pictures of him running became popular in the #GoldenBelarus photo contest. That's when the calls started pouring in and the contracts started getting signed. Now he's the grandpa known for running marathons at the blistering pace of 6 miles an hour and has become an ambassador for running in Belarus and an icon of healthy living.

Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel on Sunday issued a warning to Republicans attempting to distance themselves from President Donald Trump. According to Business Insider, her comments follow the tweet-lashing Trump recently gave to Republican Sen. Ben Sasse, of Nebraska. At a constituent town hall meeting, leaked audio showed Sasse criticizing Trump and saying that the coming election would be a 'bloodbath' for the GOP. Any Republican that doesn't recognize that running with the president is going to help them is hurting themselves in the long run. Ronna McDaniel Chair, Republican National Committee A number of Republicans have reportedly grown concerned about Trump's handling of the pandemic and are distancing themselves from the president. Republicans currently hold a 53-47 seat majority in the Senate. Polling shows they are at risk of losing it in November's general election.
Michael Osterholm is the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. And according to HuffPost, he has a grim prognostication for the next six to 12 weeks, saying they're going to be 'the darkest of the entire pandemic.' HuffPost says Osterholm points to the daily tally of 70,000 new COVID-19 cases in the US on Friday, which is the highest level since July. He said that between now and the holidays, the number of COVID-19 cases in the US will likely 'blow right through that.' Speaking on NBC's 'Meet the Press' on Sunday, Osterholm said he was troubled by the US's lack of a leading voice to guide the public. Vaccines will not become available in any meaningful way until early to the third quarter of next year. And even then, about half of the U.S. population at this point is skeptical of even taking the vaccine.
