Aerial footage released by a pro-Ukraine militia shows an alleged drone attack on a Russian armoured military vehicle in a village on the Kursk border region. Additional images published by another volunteer group also claim to show a gun battle on the border. IMAGES
Images show air defence intercepting nighttime drone attacks and smoke rising above the city in Lviv, Ukraine, the day after the attacks. According to Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovyi three warehouses were destroyed and one person was killed. Ukraine says its air defence systems had downed 27 Shahed drones launched overnight in Russia's latest aerial barrage. "A total of 30 attack UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) were launched... As a result of combat work, 27 Shaheds were shot down by air defence units," the Ukrainian air force said on social media. IMAGES

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken accuses Russia of committing war crimes by attacking civilians in Ukraine. "Intentionally targeting civilians is a war crime. Firefighters put out a fire following a Russian drone strike in Ukraine's Kharkiv, which hit civilian infrastructure, including a building of the Kharkiv College of Transport Technology. There was no immediate report of casualties. IMAGES
