Passengers of Air France Boeing travelling from Paris to Shanghai spent three days in Irkutsk after a mechanical issue caused smoke to fill the cabin. On the next day, the passengers were supposed to fly to China on a backup plane, but the second plane couldn't take off due to the failure in the plane's hydraulic system. The passengers were re-settled in hotels. Another reserve plane arrived in Irkutsk on Tuesday night (23:00 GMT+3) and 282 passengers, as well as 18 cabin crew, successfully departed on Wednesday morning.

Seventy one people, including three foreign nationals and six crew members, were killed when Saratov Airlines flight 6W703 crashed shortly after take-off. The plane was flying to the city of Orsk when it vanished from radar screens shortly after it took off from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport, before crashing some 50 miles south-east of the capital. According to the Russian Transport Ministry a special committee is investigating the cause of the deadly crash.

The aircraft is being designed for use by the Russian military and EMERCOM, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, especially for cases when they need to deliver both personnel and vehicles in one flight. The aircraft will fly like a regular plane and can land on most airfields, so no special skills are required from the pilots. In fact, It could be even more stable during landing and take-off than single fuselage planes. The project was developed in part to increase accessibility to remote Russian regions by reducing financial and technical demands.
Texas police stated that three people have died after two small aircraft collided in the air over the city of McKinney on Saturday. The two aircraft, a Piper PA-28R and a Luscombe, crashed into each other near the Aero County Airport. One plane went down near a storage facility while the crashed on a busy road near a commercial district of the city. The Aero County airport is a small regional airport that does not have air traffic control - pilots are required to announce landings and takeoffs via radio. Police and fire services cleared Custer Road from Virginia to Bedford as they worked on the scene of the crash. An investigation into the exact circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
