Close to 30,000 Niger coup supporters gather in Niamey


Nearly 30,000 supporters of the coup in Niger gather in a stadium in the capital, Niamey. The rally takes place as the deadline set by the west African bloc -- the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) -- for the military to relinquish control of the country, or face possible armed intervention, is set to lapse.
