Colombo, Jun 2 (EFE/EPA).- A cargo ship with chemicals on board that has been on fire for the last nearly two weeks off the Sri Lankan coast sank Wednesday, officials said, sparking fears over a catastrophic oil spill and extensive marine pollution."The ship has already sunk. Only the forward part is floating. That will sink too. Our main concern is an oil spill. We are doing what we can to contain any oil spill," Sri Lanka Navy spokesperson Captain Indika de Silva told EFE.
