  • Chances Are, You Have Something Very Important In Common With Warren Buffett

The great Warren Buffett is a skilled investor who is studied, analyzed, and imitated by many. But according to Business Insider, most people already have what Buffett has used to generate his immense wealth. In Morgan Housel's new book 'The Psychology of Money,' Housel argues that the 'secret' is simply how long Buffett's been investing. In other words, time. When measured by average returns, Buffett isn't the greatest investor of all time — but he's had time and patience on his side. In fact, Buffett admitted this himself in an interview with motivational coach Tony Robbins, who asked Buffett how he got so rich. Three things: Living in America for the great opportunities, having good genes so I lived a long time, and compound interest. Warren Buffett Founder, Berkshire Hathaway

  • F1 Legend Jenson Button Returns to Mount Panorama, Bathurst for Australian Type R Challenge

Inspired by the ‘Type R Challenge 2018’ which took place at legendary European race tracks, the Honda Civic Type R has set the benchmark lap time for a front-wheel drive production car around the iconic Mount Panorama race circuit at Bathurst, Australia.Driven by 2009 Formula One world champion, 2018 Super GT Series champion and Honda ambassador, Jenson Button, the factory specification Civic Type R recorded a 2 minute 35.207 second (2:35.207) lap around Australia’s greatest racetrack.Mount Panorama is best known as the home of the Bathurst 1000 motor race, held each October. An incredibly challenging track for both man and machine, it’s technically a street circuit, as it is as a public road for 350 days each year when no racing events are being conducted. The current layout is 6.213 km in length with 23 corners and a 174-metre vertical difference between its lowest and highest points, not to mention gradients as steep as 1:6 or more than 16 per cent.Button holds the unofficial lap record for the Mount Panorama circuit, a spectacular 1:48.8 lap time set in a Formula One car in 2011 as part of a special event to promote the Australian Grand Prix, so it was fitting that he was the driver to set a benchmark time in the Civic Type R.

Following its global debut at the ABB FIA Formula E race in Ad Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY racecar was put through rigorous cold weather testing at Jaguar Land Rover’s facility at the edge of the Arctic Circle in Arjeplog, Sweden. Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s Formula E driver, Nelson Piquet Jr, was joined by Beauty and the Beast star Luke Evans, and models Toby Huntington-Whiteley and Jim Chapman, who all took the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY to one of the many frozen lakes in the region to unleash the full potential of the 195km/h electric racecar. Temperatures exceeded -40°C, some 10°C lower than most conventional electric vehicles can operate at. The all-wheel drive Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY took to the ice for the first time, alongside the production Jaguar I-PACE, to prove the effectiveness of its battery’s state-of-the-art thermal management system. This enabled it to deliver outstanding performance, efficiency and durability in the sub-zero conditions. The Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY and the Jaguar I-PACE are powered by the same 90kWh Lithium ion battery. Using the Terra 53 ABB static DC chargers at the Ice Academy, the vehicles can be charged in 90 minutes. Using ABB’s 100Kw DC high power chargers the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY can go from 0-80% in just 40 minutes. The new series continues this weekend, as the ABB FIA Formula E Championship heads to Santiago, Chile for Round 3 on the 26th January.
