Europe’s long-serving Arian 5 rocket is set for its final launch this Wednesday. After 27 years of use, the rocket has become prohibitively expensive in the face of cheaper competition from rivals such as Space-X. The rocket is set to be replaced by the Ariane 6, but its development has faced several delays.
