The flag above Buckingham Palace flutters in the wind the morning after the palace announced that King Charles III was diagnosed with a form of cancer and has begun treatment, a week after he was discharged from hospital for prostate surgery. The 75-year-old British monarch, who became king upon the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth, had been advised by doctors to postpone public duties, although he would continue to "undertake state business and official paperwork as usual", the palace added.
