EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell says that Israel's military campaign in Gaza has turned the territory into the world's "greatest open-air graveyard". Borrell's comment comes as he arrives in Brussels for a meeting of EU foreign ministers. SOUNDBITE
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says the "daily toll on civilians in Gaza, particularly on children is far to high" during a press conference in Tel Aviv. Blinken is on a week-long trip aimed at calming tensions across the Middle East, amid continuing battles between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza. SOUNDBITE

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan lashes out at Israel during a visit to Germany, saying that attacks on children and hospitals had no place in the Jewish holy book. "Shooting hospitals, killing children... These things are not in the Torah, you cannot do that," Erdogan says during a joint media appearance with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. SOUNDBITE
