UN General Assembly President says Gaza ceasefire is 'reassuring'

The President of the United Nations General Assembly Volkan Bozkir says the "overdue ceasefire" in Gaza is "reassuring" after Israel and Hamas, the Islamists who control Gaza, announced a ceasefire aimed to close 11 days of deadly fighting that pounded the Palestinian enclave and forced countless Israelis to seek shelter from rockets.
