The White House says that the US President Joe Biden will host NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for talks on June 12, one month before the military alliance's summit, with Ukraine atop the agenda. SOUNDBITE
President Joe Biden says he has not seen China send arms to Russia amid its invasion of Ukraine. "I don't take China lightly. I don't take Russia lightly," he tells a news conference during a visit to Canada. "I've been hearing now for the past three months about 'China's going to provide significant weapons to Russia'... They haven't yet. Doesn't mean they won't, but they haven't yet." SOUNDBITE
NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg expresses scepticism regarding China's plan to end the war in Ukraine, arguing that Beijing "doesn't have much credibility". SOUNDBITE
US President Joe Biden says NATO was stronger than ever during a visit to Poland ahead of the first anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. "NATO is stronger than it's ever been," Biden tells his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda, a day after making a surprise trip to Kyiv. SOUNDBITE
