Interview with Isaac and Nora, two French children who sweep recovering Latin songs

Quimper (France), Jun 16 (EFE) .- (Camera: María Díaz Valderrama) Two years ago an improvised recording of the Habanera "Veinte años" turned them into a viral phenomenon, but unlike Buena Vista Social Club or María Teresa Vera, these singers are only 10 and 13 years old, a young age at which the French Isaac and Nora have already released their first album. FOOTAGE AND SOUNDBITES OF THE MUSICIANS ISAAC AND NORA (IN FRENCH).- TRANSLATIONS:1.- Nora: "Twenty years was not our first song in Spanish, our first song in Spanish was Black Tears and Twenty Years was simply a rehearsal in the garden, we had not worked on it much, then we saw the video and it seemed Ok so we put it up on YouTube and it was very successful. "2.- Isaac: "The song I like the most is Tula's Room, which is on the new album." Nora: "Mine is 'Hasta la root', I love this song that is also on the album."3.- Isaac: "Nora is a bit more modern in her tastes. She likes recent music, and I like it a bit older." Nora: "Yes, we really have very different tastes. Isaac likes the rumba, to dance, in Spanish ... I really like the music that he likes, but he doesn't like mine. We have tasted very different ".4.- Isaac (on how the songs work): "We look at the lyrics, we look at how the singer pronounces them and then we try to do our best."5.- Nora: "I'm the only one who knows how to do the 'r'". Isaac: "No, I don't get it."

French serial killer Michel Fourniret's widow, Monique Olivier, arrives in the courtroom's dock to stand trial for complicity in the abduction and murder of little girl and two young women in northern France. Spanning three decades, the murders included a 9 year old girl on her way back from school, a mentally disabled 18 year old and a 20 year olf British woman whose body was found in a river in 1990. Day 1 of trial for teens involved in 2020 beheading of French teacher

Trial opens for six teenagers for their role in the 2020 beheading of French teacher Samuel Paty, the first of two trials in a case that horrified France. The suspects, who were between the ages of 13 and 15 at the time of the murder, are accused of having been on the lookout for Paty, identifying him to the killer in exchange for money, or for making false accusations. Paty, a 47-year-old history and geography teacher, was stabbed and then beheaded near his secondary school in the Paris suburb of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.
