Paris, June 30 (EFE) .- (Camera: Mario García Sánchez) The Spanish writer Juan Goytisolo (1931-2017) has a commemorative plaque at number 33 of the central Poissonnière street, in Paris, from this Wednesday where he lived for forty years with his wife, the also writer Monique Lange.FOOTAGE OF THE NUMBER 33 OF THE POISSONNIÈRE STREET, IN PARIS, WHERE THE PLATE HAS BEEN PLACED IN TRIBUTE TO JUAN GOYTISOLO, AND SOUNDBITES OF THE AMBASSADOR, JOSÉ MANUEL ALBARES AND OF THE JOURNALIST NICOLE LEIBOWITZ.Translation:1) Ambassador: "The knowledge and understanding of Spanish literature, and in Spanish, also from Latin America, would not be possible today here, in France, and most likely in the world, without the central role played by Juan Goytisolo and also Monique Lange at the Gallimard publishing house ".2) Ambassador: "Juan Goytisolo is part of that democratic memory, the best democratic memory in Spain.
