Experts test El Salvador lake water to find reason behing color change

El Congo, Jun 25 (EFE).-Experts from the University of El Salvador carried out new tests Friday on the water of Lake Coatepeque to determine the reasons for its change in color.The lake, located in the department of El Congo, more than 55 kilometers northwest of San Salvador, has been displaying a turquoise color for a few days, a phenomenon that has been observed every year since 2015 and that in most cases is caused by the proliferation of marine microalgae.(Camera: VLADIMIR CHICAS)SHOT LIST: B-ROLL OF LAKE COATEPEQUE IN EL CONGO, EL SALVADOR.
