Nablus, Jul 30 (EFE/EPA).- Palestinians in the West Bank city of Nablus began preparations for the holy feast of Eid al-Adha as vendors started gathering on Thurday in the markets, selling all kinds of sacrificial animals.The festival commemorates the Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail as a sign of submission to Allah.Instead, he sacrificed an animal, and so do Muslims now, splitting the meat into three shares: for family, for friends and relatives and for the poor and needy.Eid al-Adha also marks the Hajj, the yearly Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, the holiest place in Islam.
