Seoul, Oct 8 (EFE/EPA).- Samsung Electronics said Friday it expects to register a 15.8 trillion won ($ 13.3 billion) operating profit in the year’s third quarter, representing 27.9 percent more year-on-year thanks to the continued good performance of its chip branch.This operating result, though below analysts' estimates, would also represent an advance of 25.7 percent compared to April-June, according to the financial projection of the South Korean technology giant published Friday.The company based in Suwon (south of Seoul) also said it expects to have a turnover in the July-September period of about 73 trillion won. Tokyo, Aug 10 (EFE).- Japan recorded a current account surplus of 905.1 billion yen ($8.2 billion) in June, marking its 84th consecutive month of positive balance, the government reported Tuesday.The figure is 510.3 percent higher than that recorded in the same month of the previous year and 54.2 percent lower than in the month of May, according to preliminary data released by the finance ministry.The country's trade balance in June logged a surplus of 648.5 billion yen in contrast to a deficit of 17.2 billion yen a year ago.
