The extreme heat in the northern hemisphere is putting an increasing strain on healthcare systems, hitting hardest those least able to manage its consequences, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says during a weekly virtual briefing. "Extreme heat puts increased pressure on health systems.
