Afghan hospitals continue to treat high number of patients injured during Taliban takeover

Kabul, Sep 25 (EFE/EPA).- Afghan hospitals continued Saturday to treat a high number of people who were injured during clashes between the Taliban and the Afghan security forces before the former took control of the government. The director general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhamom Ghebreyesus, issued on Sep. 21 an urgent appeal for raising international funds to prevent the collapse of the health system in Afghanistan.
